Video Analytics in public life: What’s in it for me?
Men and women movement – Movie analytics can help make insights into the stream of men and women. Where are they heading? By which route? On foot / bike / bicycle / scooter?
Targeted traffic – With true time incident detection, you can react straight away and redirect motor vehicles absent from congestion and locations of high targeted visitors. You can detect queues, bottlenecks and congestion, both on a normal and a single-off foundation – and re-route traffic appropriately.
Protection – In my 1st blog publish, we considered the job video clip analytics can engage in in figuring out slips, visits and falls. But in public spaces there are other important purposes, like pinpointing the congregation of folks in certain areas (e.g. sports admirers), anti-social conduct, aggression, and even the possession (or very likely possession) of weapons. Triggers can notify the unexpected emergency services, or prompt street closures and diversions.
Inclusivity – How particular are you that the space you are responsible for is truly inclusive for all? Video analysis, interpreted by AI, can identify routes, paths or regions that people with confined mobility routinely prevent. Or offer perception into styles of motion by men and women with wheelchairs, visible impairment or other incapacity. What could you apply to handle these?
