Patrick and Henry Community College (P&HCC) college student Sarah Wall gained very first spot prize for her organization program to launch an eco-friendly products shop.

She gained $1,000 at the second annual Rise Collegiate Business enterprise Approach Competition hosted on March 23 at Hampden-Sydney College’s Crawley Forum in Farmville.

She competed with 7 groups that totaled 12 scholar-business owners who presented their business enterprise pitches to a panel of judges and ann viewers. The students came from P&HCC, Averett College, Hampden-Sydney Higher education and Longwood University.

Her company approach was for an eco-welcoming products retail outlet in Martinsville termed Swam. She strategies to use the prize income to help start the business enterprise, a release states.

Wall designs to start by acquiring the Swam brand name with booth activities and positioning products and solutions in other outlets these types of as Built In Martinsville right before growing into a brick-and-mortar keep front.

She was one of a few teams to get a cash prize. Next place was Dusten Wooden of Chatham, who received $750.

The Rise Collegiate Small business Strategy Opposition is open to all Southern Virginia school learners.
