MPCL awarded new four exploration blocks – Mettis Global Link
November 8, 2022 (MLN): The Directorate Typical of Petroleum Concessions (DGPC), has awarded four new exploration blocks to Mari Petroleum Organization Restricted (MPCL), the corporation submitting on PSX confirmed now.
In the filing, blocks were being awarded to MPCL from which a person block is awarded as an operator and a few blocks as a joint enterprise associate with Oil and Gasoline Enhancement Firm Confined (OGDCL) and Pakistan Petroleum Restricted (PPL).
In addition, the blocks have been awarded after aggressive bidding on the basis of operate units dedicated by various E&P Businesses in the Pakistan E&P Bid Spherical 2022 Oct conducted by DGPC. Information of the blocks are as less than:
A formal award of petroleum legal rights in each individual of the blocks is conditional upon:
1) Signing of Petroleum Exploration Licenses and execution of Petroleum Concession Agreements with the Governing administration
2) Execution of Joint Working Agreements among the the respective JV Associates
3) Completion of linked authorized/procedural formalities
What’s more, As aspect of the Firm’s Exploration Organization System, the acquisition of these new exploration blocks would increase the Company’s hydrocarbon source balance by adding new resources.
